I'm looking to buy a 46" TV and after much deliberation and advice I think I'm going to go for Plasma over LCD as the general consensus from reading the forums, buying guides, and talking to people is that Plasma is the preferred option for 46"+ TV's.

However I am still miles away from choosing one, so before I start if anyone has any standout choices I should be considering then please let me know.

My budget is £1000-£1500 and I would also be connecting DVD, PS3 and a TV onics freeview recorder. No surreond sound at the moment (sadly).

Thanks

Panasonic TH46PZ85 about a grand from Richer Sounds, I have the 42" version and am soooooo happy, sound great as well

Good call that. Shame you can't get to 1999 quid and get the Pioneer but the Panny is highly thought of.

Oh the goblet of eternal life!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! (see the drool, I would have loved one of those)

i woudl suggest having a look at the 800 for that money mate. The sound is meant to be tip top for a plasma, lus you have a sexier looking tv than the other models.

If it's only 4 inches you might as well get the 50, bigger is better in my opinion. I'd also try and look for the 46PZ80B (On Amazon, doubt you'll get it at a retailer), good luck with your search.

Thanks, Rorschach
