Aarrghh,Fuzzy lad, not only have I given useful info to a new poster, I'v only gone and beaten you to it. Looks like my nominations in the balance.

Off to start a thread on 'Best Tunes To Garden To' to redress the balance

high there i m a fully qualified tv installer/ calibrator with regards to hdtv test settings their wrong .

mine were done with a proper colour meter not a d.i.y spyder

cinema mode

contrast - no change

brightness - 1 click left

sharpness - 1 click left hd / no change sd

colour no change

colour temp warm hd / nomal sd

colour managment . off

picture overscan off hd - on sd

so please ignore vincent with his tv hobby he has over at hdtvtest ,

i do it for a living

about screen burn please dont confuse retention with burn their not the same,

download your self the pioneer break-in disc and ,

set tv up for burn in

normal

set all picture setting to just under half way and run it for a few hours then power it off for 3-4 hours then switch back on and repeat process 5 times

also upgrade the mains cable try russ andrews power max t

Surely calibrated settings will vary as they reflect each individuals ambient lighting conditions in their own home. And not all models of the same TVs are identical??
