Planned upgrades: advice

Hi,

i'm new at this forum. My current system is a Rega RP1 + an older Pioneer system (m-j310 & cx-j310) & speakers.

I'm planning following upgrades:

1) performance pack for TT

2) integrated amp (peachtree Nova65se or Rega Brio-R) and speakers (?)

taste in music vinyl: postpunk/hardrock/indie/britpop/jazz/...

my room is rather small and temporary, later on (in 5 years or so) the system (or some components) will move to my work room.

In short: budget for amp and speakers is around 1000 £.

Any advice or opinions on my planned upgrades? Will it sound a lot better regarding my Pioneer system? Other suggestions welcome as well.

Try and found a dealer locally who has your turntable and amp in and go and have a listen. Try a couple of amps and some different speakers and if it does not sound better then don't buy it. Trust your own ears. Take something with you know and like to listen to. If the dealers any good they will advise but leave to make your mind up.
