Hi,
how can i perform a factory rest to my SC LX701 receiver in a way that will also revert the firmware to the one that is the default for a new device. Alternately, how can i revert the firmware version to a previus version ( i have issues with the most recent one).

Thanks

You can read the manual on the Pioneer website, or trying downloading the previous firmware update again, I doubt this will work though:

http://www.pioneer-audiovisual.eu/eu/firmware_update/13370

It might be that you are screwed until the next firmware update, which I wouldn't guarantee Pioneer will bring out, although they should do.

This is how you do a factory reset on the old Pioneer amps:

Okay, found it on post 85 which tells you the way to do a factory reset on the Pioneer sc-lx701:

http://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-receivers-amps-processors/2515329-owner-s-thread-pioneer-sc-lx701-sc-801-sc-lx901-receviers-3.html

Thanks a lot for the help gel, really appriciate it.

The problem is that after conducting the reset, the firmware is still updated to the latest version...any idaes what to do ?
The only thing I can think of is contacting Pioneer by email or phone (which is virtually impossible from my experiences in the past), or contacting your dealer and complain. I am not sure about contacting the dealer though, because I am not sure what they can do. Basically in my view it's not fit for purpose anymore so I would complain.

I have written to Pioneer and got a definitive answer stating that resetting the device won't help and in any case, i cannot revert to an earlier version of the firmware…really disappointing
