PIONEER VSX920 PROBLEM: KEEPS CUTTING OFF WHEN VOLUME TURNED UP?

Ive had this Pioneer receiver for 2 years with no issues . Suddenly a week ago it has started to switch itself off when volume is turned up when watching BLu Rays. Ive checked all speaker cables and other connections and cleaned the back of the amp for dust etc. Anyone any ideads as to what is causing it?

I switch on again and continue and all is fine auntil it cuts out again sporadically...

I was about to say "Check for stray speaker wires" but I see you've done that! I really don't know the answer here. However, does the problem occur with other sources, or only when playing Blu-Rays?
