News Pioneer splits from premium audio company

When plasma was king, Pioneer rode the crest of the waves, unlike Panasonic they adapted and now thriving, Pioneer did the opposite, they pulled the plug from the TV market and I think that was their undoing.

Pioneer is in a transitional state and looking a little ominous for the brand. I think they're open to a buyer, hopefully Harman/Samsung will add them to their résumé.
Failing that, we could see them disappear.

Brands like LG and Samsung were starting to flood the market with cheap TVs - Pioneer and Fujitsu just couldn't make their TVs for less money with the same quality. People wanted cheap, not quality. Hence the TV market the way it is today.
