Replace the 603 s3's with the toatally awesome 604 s3's. £400. Massive difference in outright scale. Bigger lcr 600s3, £200 and any of the smaller bookshelf s3's for rears. Believe me, your jaw will drop. Stick with the 600 s3 range. In my opinion, nothing comes close at the price. Change the amp, go for old school denon avc a1se, or avc a1sr. £300. The pioneer is pretty good, but so underpowered. Just bells and whistles. The denon is, and remains the best av amp ever built. 170 watts, 8ohms all 7 channels at just 0.05thd. Although the yammy Z9 is also damn good. Pio dont come close. Have you felt its weight? Use the denon to power the speakers, and connect the pio to the denon for hdmi and processing duties. Job done, should have enough money over for a holiday. This type of system will put a huge smile on your face. (dont get caught up in the modern world, its worse.) Only hd tvs have got better. Not av amps, or speakers. Hope i have converted you.
