Hi everyone. A quick query.

With the above setup I am pleased with the movie performance but music playback while using the sub is not delivering the quality. The sound is lacking in low end with the sub switched on. In fact there is a better sound with pure direct. With more depth and bottom end than when using the sub in direct mode. Which seems odd as the stereo speakers should produce more bass

I have looked through previous threads and set my amps crossover to 80hz in the home menu in the receiver. I carry out the mcacc. I have the sub settings as follows-

frequency 80hz(on dial)

low pass route- in

Phase- 180

The volume on the top is set to 12 o'clock and eq 1 selected

The sq for stereo listening is excellent in pure direct mode(direct signal from source to amp) is very good but I would like to use the sub for music also in direct mode which allows the sub to be used. When flicking between the 2 settings pd and d the difference is staggering. I would go as far to say that direct mode is unlistenable. This was not always the case in the past....

Just read through this again and a lot of waffle in it... The iPad posting is not working that well??

Thanks for any help in advance

John

Try turning the sub upto max on the cross over, that way the AVR will control the crossover point & setting the phase to 0.

Thanks mark had a further investigation, for some reason the sub was not set to "plus" in the system settup menu?? It is set to this if i watch a bluray etc.... and on the same mcacc preset too.

Thanks for your time

John
