Pioneer SC-LX81.....

Well it's been nearly four months and I am still waiting for my new Pioneer Amp. Just spoken to my local dealer and he is as frustrated as I am. Pioneer still have no firm dates for new stock to arrive.

Is anyone else out there experiencing a similar problem or better still, has anyone got their grubby hands on one recently ?.

PS: The dealer also told me that they are having big problems with Yamaha amps (which seems to be reflected in the recent posts on this forum) and that their Yamaha sales rep was made redundant recently.

The LX81 has been a real pain. They've been out of stock for ages, and all dealers have been in the same boat. Pioneer have no dates at the moment, so you're probably looking towards the end of this month or sometime next month before we see any more.

Oh well guess I'll be buying the speakers first in that case...

This might have something to do with it...

If Pioneer have new amps coming out (and presumably there's going to be replacements for the LX71, 81 etc above this lot to come as well) then stock might be limited for the current models, in the same way that Panasonic's BD35 and 55 blu-ray players became impossible to get hold of even before the replacements were announced.
