Does anyone know if the airplay compatiblity on the new pioneer N50a allows you to stream itunes library from a windows PC or is it just from IOS devices?

It should be fine.
Look for the AirPlay button
on iTunes on your PC and click on it - once the N50s is connected to your home network - and you'll see it there.
