pioneer lx91 successor

Hi

I'm thinking about upgrading to the pioneer lx83 and matching this with an upgraded lx91 which has PQLS on all of it's channels would be great.

Does anyone know when the lx91 successor is likely to happen - it's bound to join in the 3D gravytrain sometime.

We've been told there isn't at the moment, but I wouldn't take that as gospel.

I assume you know that the finish of the LX91 and LX83 are different? If there is a replacement for the 91 at some point, it'll be the same brushed aluminium facia as the 83.

Not too worried about the finish - with the radio controller with the lx83 I think I'll end up hide the hardware in another room. For me it's just about getting the best out of the sound and picture.

Hope they bring out the successor soon!

I'm almost about to pull the trigger in an LX91 - it's built like battleship, and the picture and sound is awesome - how much better can a replacement get?!

Yes they are profile 2, about £1500 most people who have ones left are selling it for.

Sorry David, didn't mean to put you in an awkward position. I didn't necessarily mean "what are you selling them for?", it was more just general curiosity as to how much they've reduced in price from the original RRP (which I think was £2k wasn't it?).

I mean it's not like I'm actually going to buy one or anything...

I should google it I suppose...

Go for it , you know how good they are!

I got a second hand (like new) very cheap on the other forum, paid about the same price as a 51fd when new. I was swaying between the 91 and the 5000es, both great machines but the dual HDMI out and price swung it for me.
