Pioneer Kuro 5090.

Morning,

My question is, is the Pioneer 5090 still at the top of its game or has it been caught by Panasonic with its V10 series?

Finally about to change my Panasonic 42" and the wife has ok'd the Pioneer but it's taken so long for her to come round I am now unsure!

Anything else anybody could suggest.

Some backlash will come but I will not consider a Sony LCD while they are still battling with clouding issues.

Samsung LED perhaps or LG Plasma with THX cert?

General consensus seems to be no the Kuro's haven't been caught yet.

You'll be doing well to find one now though.

I have seen quite a few places still have them including John Lewis.

Not too bothered if its hard to find as I will just go for the Panasonic as I still like that one.

It all depends whether you can get on with the 600Hz that Pana are using - personally it'd drive me crazy. I'd prefer a bit of judder than have everything move like it's a Bluray on double speed!
