Pioneer iControlav App

Im wondering does anyone have this app working with a Pioneer A/V receiver? I recently bought the VSX-920 and cannot get the app to connect to the receiver. The same error code always comes up (B27102) but there is nothing on Pioneers website of any help with the app or error code.

A search does lead to quite a few more forums/sites where others are having the same problem but still there is no solution.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Apols if asking the obvious, but you do have the receiver connected to your home wireless network, yes?

In addition, have you tried a firmware update on your receiver? As I understand it, the VSX-920 was only latterly enabled to work with the app, so your model might need updating? That's just a guess, mind you. I'd ask your dealer for confirmation

Indeed - Pioneer says only models after April 2010.

The app works fine with my LX-83 - have you tried entering the network details manually in the app, or on the amp? in case the DLNA isn't allocating the amp an IP address . . . unfortunately when it comes to networking, there are loads of possible things that could be causing the lack of a network link between the amp and your network (assuming that is the issue ofcourse) - you need to try and narrow it down.

I had similar issue with my LX53, but was due to not properly enabling my Airport Express, which I was using to create an ethernet to wireless bridge next to the receiver. How are you connecting to your wireless network, or are you hard-wired?
