Hi Guys,

I have the Pioneer lX83 receiver and I need advice on a new pioneer blue-ray player with a good audio performance to(as I have no cd player on this moment).

I`m thinking about: BDP-LX52, BDP-LX53 or BDP-LX71 , which one is beter?

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Thaks for your advice guys!

If you've got the SC-LX83, if you want 3D, you should go for the matching BDP-LX53. This will allow for the PQLS over HDMI for music as well, improving jitter. You could go for the BDP-LX52, if you're not interested in 3D, similar functionality, just a bit cheaper...

Thanks Scene,

As I can see on the Pioneer website the BDP-LX53 is not a 3D player and if you compare those two players you will see many differences in the features(The BDP-LX52 seems to be better??). The BDP-LX53 review on the techradar website was not very good either...

Can only put that down to pre-lunch low blood sugar... Of course, it is the (soon to be released) BDP-LX54 that is 3D - so ignore what I just said...

Though having said that, I did look at buying a BDP-LX71 at one point and nearly went for it, but it does have slow load times. The BDP-LX52 is a very good BDP, and you can get it online for sub £250.

But I suppose the question has to be: Does it have to be a Pioneer BDP? For example, if you're looking for an audio-capable BDP, the Cambridge Audio Azur 650BD is worth looking at...

I have the 71 and really like it. I did a demo with the 52 and the 71 looked and sounded better

Scene, nice find, looks good to, but the dimension of the Audio Azur 650BD could be an issue if I put it on my Pioneer receiver...

Yes, it doesn't match the Pioneer aesthetic, does it... But then agian, you shouldn't really be putting your BDP on your amp
