Pioneer amps with THX ultra 2 plus

This one weighs 19.7kg and it's a lesser spec:

Weird, anyone know why? Is the top spec one a pre amp or something?

This IS a full receiver, and although it doesn't list in the specs at the top like Pioneer used to, it's using some sort of Class D type amplification - they're calling it "digital", but they haven't given it a marketing name.
