Hi. I have a short question. I have this tv and would like to know if it upscales sd cable tv. I don't know if it;s worth to buy an upscale receiver or if it's not necessary. It seems there is a miss understandig if the plasm really upscales the signal or only fits to it's resolution.

Thank you

All HD Tvs fit the signal to the Tvs resolution. If this Pioneer receives a 576i signal (eg. from Freeview tuner, SKY SD, or DVD player) it will upscale the signal to fit the panels resolution of 1366x768. The Pioneer has a very good internal upscaler.

All HD TV's upscale a SD broadcast/DVD to their native resolutin other wise the recieved image would appear as a smaller image sourounded by black on your screen. There may be benifits from using a external scaller in a Reciever but this would only have effecton external devices as DVD or cable boxes as both Freeview and Terestial TV are catered for by your TV's internal scaling.
