hi everyone i have the panasonic gt50 im happy with the picture quality etc but i want to go bigger.all i watch is films and u.s drama on dvd and blu ray.my cinema room/ old bedroom is 4m long i am thinking about going for the panasonic 55vt50 but £1799 for 5 extra inches seems daft which leaves the panasonic zt60 out in may for £4000 or the 65vt50 for £2799 is the 65 gonni be to big for me since im only 9ft away .i just want the biggest screen with best possible picture quality as i dont have space for a projector.

When I was shopping for my Kuro, I found the SD pictures on the 60-inch version very unsettling & a bit nauseating at 9ft distance. Hence I settled for a 50-inch one. Definitely check it out in the shop at your usual viewing distance, & check SD pictures and fast motion. Make sure you're happy with it.

If you have to sit too close to it, I would consider demoing some LEDs as the image seems cleaner at close proximity. With a plasma I wouldn't sit much closer than 2:1, so for a 65" I think 10' should be the absolute minimum veiwing distance. I have a 51" and I sit about 100" away (8') and it looks great, but when I lean forward I can start to make out all the swirly plasma grain. I should mention I watch hardly any TV only disks, and as BB says SD content will look bad this close!
