HI AFTER READING MANY REVIEWS AND WHAT HI FI GIVING IT 5 STARS I PURCHASED A CHORD SUPERSHIELD 1.4 CABLE I MUST SAY ON HD THE PICTURE IS ALOT BETTER THEN MY PREVIOUS CABLE PICTURE IS CLEARER BRIGHTER CRISPER MORE COLOUR ETC BUT I MUST SAY ON SD BROADCASTS PICTURE IS STILL RUBBISH AS IT WAS WITH MY CHEAPER CABLE I WAS HOPING FOR A IMPROVEMENT ON SD OR MAYBE IS THIS DOWN TO THE BROADCASTER OR TV PROCESSING

hi clare my tv is a samsung ps50c7000and i watch SD through my sky + HD box which i have the resolution set at 1080i so i presume the tv is doing the upscaling i also have all motion processing off

Err, no, if the Sky box is set to 1080i then IT is doing the upscaling (ie it's outputting everything at 1080i, including 576p SD channels), not the TV.

Set the Sky+HD box to Auto rather than 1080i, so your TVs doing the upscaling, it should improve SD a bit (Sky+HD boxes are poor at upscaling). Don't expect miracles though...
