picture is stretched

i have a small minor problem with my panny th37px80 that the picture is stretched u cant see any logos properly and if im watching a film part of it is missing when watching sky and i notice it if u turn it over and back and it is normal but then afer about 15 seconds it goes stretched again .ive probably done something in the settings but cant for the life of me seem to fix this

based solely on the info above, have you tried the 'Aspect' button on your remote? Choose your setting from there - most use 'auto' or 16:9 and you should be ok? Overscan may be switched on, which could contribute to the problem, though to be honest the screen doesn't stretch as much as you describe.

What channels are you watching?. If you are watching some of the channels that still broadcast in 4:3, the TV may be auto stretching to fill the screen. Mine will often do this if I am watching 4:3 analouge broadcasts.

If your TV is anything like mine then it's aspect ratio is set to Auto. The Tv then decides what it thinks is best. If you press the aspect button on the remore it should either open a sub menu or it should scroll through the potions.

Aso worth cheching the settings on your sky box as well.

Im betting you have "picture overscan" turned on. I use this on my 42" Pany and if the program isn't in widescreen then the same thing happens. Although it is good for getting rid of the jaggily lines at the edge of the screen that appear on some programs with it turned off.
