Phono amp

I currently run a Rega p3 with a goldring 1012 gx cartridge in to a Cambridge azur 540p then via an Arcam A 28 to PMCdb1i's. What great phono amps are there for under £250

Secondhand Trichord Dino (plus power supply) works well for me.

I had a 540p before changing to the Dino, and the step-up was significant.

Seconded, probably the best around for the money you want to spend.

valve phono stage would be nice but 250 might be pushing it a bit, the project one is good but better if you change out the stock tubes but again more money, i like valves and vinyl but there are some nice solid states out there, rega's own ones for example but you should have a least a short list and audition some with your kit which most dealers look like they would have considering what you have, does your arcam have a phono stage already built in, i assume you have tried it if it has but if not it might be better than the 540.

have a look around the used market for a edwards, if you can find a mc with phone stage at the right price they are superb
