Going back to the supplier issue, I know that Philips currently sources panels from different suppliers for different ranges - ie all panels within a range will be from the same supplier (so you wouldn't get two same-spec sets with different panels).
So - for example - the LED-backlit range uses panels from one supplier, while the standard-backlit sets will use panels from a second supplier.
