Philips 7603 vs 9603

Its all gone quiet on the 7603 front. Anyone recently bought one or thinking of buying?

Seems like a very underated TV and getting unfairly overlooked.

In response to spookyelectric's post on 091108; the 37PFL7603 was one of the 37" screens that I was looking at. My dilemma re. the Philips [37"] is the 7603 vs the 5603; what are the major differences [other than the obvious 'Ambilight'] for the extra £100 or so ??

Hi

The 7603 has Pixel Plus 3 HD and the 5603 has the older Pixel Plus HD

The 7603 has a nice white back and the 5603 has a black back.

The 7603 has a light underneath srceen (light guide) but the 5603 doesn't.

The 7603 has better sound.

IMO definately worth paying extra for the 7603.

I hear what you say but my [sorry, our!] viewing will be SD/HD via a V+; no games [unless we get invaded by our grandchildren] etc., little sport and some DVD plays.

So, is the Pixel Plus 3HD going to make much difference??

How much better is the sound for the same reasons??

Anyone else got input to this debate??
