We've reviewed the 37in version of the '9603 - the Philips 37PFL9603 - in our current (September) issue, plus the 42in Aurea - the Philips 42PFL9900. Reviews should appear online anytime soon.Meanwhile we're reviewing the Philips 42PFL7603 for the following issue, out 21st August. We've also got a big meeting with Philips today, so should find out what we're due next!

Careful with these Phillips televisions, the old ones PFL9*32 models (these new models predecessors) suffered a multitude of problems, high frequency noise in standby,Line frequency probs and severe image lag, I know because I bought one and Phillips aren't exactly too helpful with aftercare either. Damn good picture with SD.The new ones though should have had everything fixed but apparently there is still a slight Lag issue, which means gaming is slightly tarnished.

Still no news on the 42 models - but we have been promised the 47in Philips 47PFL9603.

Had a cracking preview at Philips of some of the new-season stuff, though - we'll bring you news as soon as embargoes allow!

Thanks Claire nough said!!

Can I ask weather you rate the new sets from philips, I have had my heart set on the new 42PFL9703, which is around £1600, but having seen the new Panasnic plasmas which the 42" versions can be had for around £1200 I'm finding it hard to justify the extra dosh.

Thanks.

Hi Claire

Any reviews about the Philips 42 PFL 7403 with pixel perfect HD 3 and ten bit panel? I can get one for a bargain after SONY let me down seriously with the 40" Z.

Thank you
