Does the status 'banned' need to be so prominent and colourful? I am sure the decision to exercise its recent use was not taken lightly but the result does hurt a tad when it is so displayed as currently.

Banned, as far as I am aware is simply like a highlghter has been applied.
Perhaps their whole posts should simply be removed? Not that simple.
A simple line throughout their name isn't enough for some people to recognise.

Yes, there are a few of us wondering what on earth he did to justify a ban.
(Whoever banned him obviously doesn't know he's not the type to cause deliberate offence).

It's probably not appropriate to talk about a specific person and their health here. That hasn't happened - just flagging up that saying who is being talked about in this thread is probably not the right thing to do.

His health was often discussed by himself.
It's common knowledge to those that knew of him - and irrelevant to those that didn't.

....but it's the reason for concern in this banning case - that's all.

All true, but the person in question isn't here to express a view and might object to being talked about - as we don't know it's best that names are not named.
