I ended up with a Leema Elements Integrated + DAC in the end and am very happy with it.

Initially the amp was connected to some small standmounts, but he swapped them over to some large floorstanders - and then said 'this will give you an idea - although they are £7000 worth'.

Could that have been the Triton7s ($700 each)? I thought Golden ear's top model were the Triton2s, at $1500 each... :?
