Hi there,

As with many things in life, it seems my absolute adoration of ML Vantage transparancy and pin point imaging also has its down side..... The system sounds a bit thin and "digital" on occasion. I prefer a richer sound that is not so clinical. I fear it might be either my power amp or CD player. any advice on where to start investigating this problem?

My system:

(1) Primare DVD30 for CD and DVD playback (Chord signature interconnect for stereo)

(2) Arcam AV9 for Stereo and surround pre-amp/processor (Vd Hull the name interconnets to power amp)

(3) Primare A30.5 amp (Chord Signature speaker cable)

(4) ML Vantage

Thanks!

Andre

The Vantage deserve better imo, Krell amp and classe CD player would be the most obvious choice.

Krell's a good shout maybe Chord would do the trick try and audition either. The Logan's need power and plenty of it. A minimum of 250 watts @ 8 ohm,s and doubleing as impedance fall's is what you need to run them. Both Krell and Chord will give you good power.

I'd go for a Audio Reserch source.

Note, the Logans need a bit of running in may be upto 100 hrs

thanks for the responses. These speakers are not that new, certainly more than 100 hours use. The Vantage also have a built in 200 watt amp to drive the bass unit, so the amp you use is for the pannels. I know that is where the real low impedance requirement is in the pannels.

In the Berkshire area, any advice on where to audition?

Thanks
