I hate answering my own posts but if anyone is interested then currently using a US based proxy is working.

Mmm probs with that proxy with both IE and FF. i have never even seen the Pandora page or the interface and forgot to have a look while i was back in the UK over Xmas.

I use Firefox and just go to the proxy website and then type in www.pandora.com in the box on the front page.

It has worked so far but then they haven't turned us off yet.

I agree. I switched to last.fm too but nonetheless, this could be a sign of what's to come. Hopefully last.fm won't close too.
