I have to recommend this tv to anyone currently looking to buy a new 47inch tv. Even if you lean more towards Plasma this TV will match any plasma currently on the market for colour, motion even blacks.
It retailed at 2000pounds on release, but can now be found seriously discounted at Richer sounds.
To start its a handsome tv the tv is wafer thin with a slither of a frame around the screen, the stand is elegant and practicle. Its V shaped so the tv can be pushed to the very back of your stand, and your centre speaker/soundbar/kenect Sensor fits snuggly in the ideal spot under the screen. The stand is heavy too excellent construction and easy to assemle - this tv looks the money without even been turned on.
The picture like the design is sublime its got great colour and images are clean but its with motion that this tv excels, its very smooth, it never struggles with verticle lines, Wimbledon on BBC HD was a joy - but the French open looked stunning in HD ( was being shown when I 1st bought it home) , honestly I can't recommend this tv enough.
Standard channels are also watchable - not as good as on an old CRT but its watchable. in fact it gets better as you aclamatise to it , sublime. It also works well with DVD 576i/480i the better the video quality the better.
Sound is not too shabby etheir - stand alone its more than fine, but the screen benifits from external amplification.
There are better looking tv's out their Samsungs, Sony's for example look great turned off, but leaves you questioning yourself with their picture quality (like the kings new cloths - you know what I mean?) - you will not do that with this tv
only downside only 2pairs of 3d glasses - I have yet to really test the 3d on the set....but don'y dismiss me for that.
anyhoo, if your in the market for a new TV at least check this tv out its less than 900pounds don't miss the bargin of the year so far.
