The TV was collected by Currys (Dixons) last week and we just have to confirm the refund went back on the cedit card.

The flicker was constant (like the 100Hz was not working) and any pan was bad, but roving motions (like a hand held camera) were just terrible and nothing would be in focus. We sat about 10 feet away. Anyway - it is not our problem anymore, but thanks - all.

glad to hear your sorted, I'd still recommend panasonic tv's or have a look at sony kdl40w5500, there also very good, there 100Hz processor is prob best around.
