PANASONIC SET UP PROBLEMS

Hi

Just received my Panasonic Home Cinema Kit SCBT 230 EBK -

The pic / sound quality on the Blu ray is outstanding but...

I can get no sound through the speaker system on normal TV / Sky in fact no sound at all unless I switch the panasonic off then it is normal TV sound.

The kit is obviously connected to the TV with an HDMI cable and also an optical cable from the Kit to the TV.

What am I doing wrong ? probably something very simple

If you have a panasonic tv then go into viera link settings & output sound via your home cinma kit.

Okay , done that - only sound i get is out the front left / right speakers nothing from the centre or rear ?

Any other suggestions ?

Most tv programs output in stereo so should only come out of front L & R. If you want the others there is probably something in your systems settings to give a surround effect to stereo sound.

I've assumed all speakers are working fine when watching blu-rays & DVDs.

Cheers it's just me being silly expecting speech out of the centre speaker. I'll stop worrying.

The Blu-ray performance is superb.
