Panasonic SC-BTT270 Blu ray stopped reading discs

Hi all

1st post so please be gentle with me

I have the above home cinema system that is 2.5 years old. Over the last few weeks it has stopped reading/playing DVDs and in the last few days it has also stopped reading/playing blu-ray discs.

Sound still works fine from the Panasonic TV that I have.

So the question I have for you all is - Is the player worth repairing or should I look to replace the whole system?

I don't know if there are any other Panasonic 3d blu ray players on the market that can be swapped with the duff player.

In terms of sound quaality, this system does the job for the family TV.

Grateful for any advice that you can give me.

Are you getting an error message every time you try to play a disc? Has it completely stopped reading BDs and DVD

Is the firmware up to date?

have tiy tried a CD to see if the player will read them? (try more than one)

How is the player situated with regards other gear? i.e. could it be an over heating issue?

How much was the player. 2.5 years is a long time this day and age there should be plenty of players able to replace yours if it has gone wrong. Not sure fixing it would be worth it.
