Hi

What is the difference between the Panasonic SC-BT200EB-K and the Panasonic SC-BT200 ?

Are they the same ?

Thanks

G

Usually with Panasonic the letters after denote whether it is fitted with a240v plug or 110v plug, ie whether UK, europe or elsewhere model. Sometimes certain shops such as John Lewis, Richer sounds etc get a "special model" as denoted by a further letter. This is to prevent price matching. The actual tv is the same model

Thanks again to all reply's , so new at all this and building up my system in stages , your help and advice is much appreciated

True Blue is bang on in what he is saying regarding the extra letters at the end of Panasonic's products.

In regards to the SC-BT200 and SC-BT200EB-K, both are the same apart from the SC-BT200 does not state if it's a UK model or a import one as it has no extra letters at the end of the model number, some retailers dont bother with the end prefix just to keep things short or everyone refers to the kit as the SC-BT200 only, if you find one of these then you are best to ask the question and make sure what the end letters are. Where in regards to the SC-BT200EB-K model, that is the UK model as the EB-K is a UK prefix.

Andrew Everard:Or in this case the home cinema system. But yes, absolutely the same.

Indeed, thanks Andrew. Still early 🙂

I've got an SA-BT200 bought from Richer Sounds. Does this make me special? Do I win a fiver?

The SA-BT200 is just the model number for the main head unit, as also they have seperate model numbers for the speakers, subwoofer etc.. this is so Panasonic can catalogue each component that is part of the complete system and also in case you have a problem or repair that needs doing that they can refer to what part is the cause of the problem. As a complete system, the cinema system is called the SC-BT200.

So sorry, you dont win a fiver today.
