these are the 3 models i have narrowed my search down to- all roughly £600 and i cannot make up my mind aabout which to purchase

the px80 is great by all accounts but i am afraid that it is dated already (not being 1080p would annoy me intensley!)

the toshiba is high spec but will it look as good watching sky digital on it? (and i can get a 5yr warranty with it only 1 year with the other 2!)

the sony is again high spec but apparently has motion blurring issues that i know will annoy me when i watch football/sky tv on it on it

i need advice as this tv quest is driving me mad!

Go for the Panasonic, Greg: like you, I agonised for ages over this, then used my eyes and the mass of opinion on this site, and I wasn't disappointed. The TV will accept 1080p/24fps pictures no problem, and you will never notice the lack of full HD at this size. You get awesome contrasts, NO smearing, and it's a helluva bargain at present - buy with confidence! A few short weeks ago, I never imagined I'd go for a plasma (especially at 37"), but now I'm so pleased I did every time I turn it on.

Greg - i gotta go with Naxos here,
but suppose i would cos i bought one a year ago from John Lewis on a price check for £630 and am yet to see a better picture on anyone of my friends so called full HD efforts. Naxos is right - just test the SD picture on the PX80 (which is the signal most people receive )an not many can compare-and none for this price. My 360 looks so good on it,it often draws many a positive response from visitors .Plasma all the way for me for the black detail . so what if plasma has a bad rep--i got a 5 yr warranty free .
just buy it
