I am (hopefully) a couple of weeks away from choosing a projector.

With a budget of around £2K, I thought I'd settled on the Panasonic PT-AE4000E, but I am informed by Superfi they can now get the Optoma Themescene HD82 under £2K, and Richer Sounds are showing the JVC DLA-HD350 as "coming soon" at £2K.

Throw isn't an issue as my room is quite long, but it will be ceiling mounted. I am more impressed by motion handling than pixel detail (assuming contrast, etc are all present and correct!).

I am not looking at 3-D at the moment, so that's not a consideration, I just hoping for a gloriuous cinematic experience.

Of course, I will be auditioning with my own material before parting with the cash, but welcome other's comments ahead of that.

Thanks, Paul

I believe if motion handling is your thing then the Panasonic is probably best, though the HD350 is also pretty sweet for that price - not sure about the Optoma...

Been looking at a company in US that sells the Pana's worldwide on Ebay for under £1500... Hmm.
