Panasonic plasma or HD tv as comuter/imac monitor

Has any one tried using a Hd tv as a monitor or secondary screen, i know it can be done but iam not sure how good the results might be? I might give it a go but don't want to spend much as its really just a try out. If any one has tried , do we get into the quality of cables issues again?

id reccomend an LCD if its being used as a monitor... if its only occaisional use then plasma should be ok, what size?

or a panasonic- which ever spelling i can type ,the keys always have moved on my keyboards.

it would be good, but depends how often you use it
