Panasonic LCD line up

Hi

I am tempted by the 37lzd800 from Panasonic but am considering waiting for the new models.

I am confused though as to which new model would be seen as top of the range replacement for the LZD800.

Is it the g series or v series?

Since I have virgin I am not interested in freesat capabilities.

Any news on when these are coming out?

Hi Gavin,

I've been in the same boat as yourself, and opted to get the new L37G10. I was toying with the idea of going for the highly rated LZd800, especially when I heard that the G10 might not be able to handle SD footage as well as some other tv's. However i found a shop on Tottenham Court Road that had one on display and, for me, it's not an issue. It's got a newer processor and is superb with HD footage

John Lewis have just got the tv in their warehouse and I am getting it delivered this Thursday, along with the new DMP BD60 Blu-Ray Player.

I think the v series comes out later in the year.

I ended up getting the Panasonic LZD80 after loads of thinking and research.

Very happy with it so far. HD quality is fantastic.
SD on some of the poorer channels is pretty awfull though but think thats more to do with the channel rather than the TV.
The sound quality is quite good as well. Not as bad as some perhaps make out.ÿ
