Panasonic Green Light Flashing On Power-Up

Had the Panasonic TX-P42GT30B for a week, and when I turn on the TV the relay clicks in and the green LED rapidly flashes for a few seconds before holding then the picture comes on.

Is this normal? I've not been able to find anything elsewhere specific to this so guess I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance.

My 2011 TX-L32U3B does the same thing so if it's standard across the panny range then yes, I think it's probably normal.

My PX80 has been doing it for 4 years this month so it had better be normal!

This is my first ever Panasonic TV and every time I switch it on I keep thinking it's not going to make it! Wish they'd put this in the manual to allay any uneccessary worries.

This is completely normal, my GT30 does exactly the same thing when you turn it on. Nothing to worry about.

Of course i would have told you if i thought it was unusual but fortunately that's not the case, hopefully you get through the run in soon and are able to enjoy the tv to the full.
