Panasonic G20 w/ Onkyo TX-NR609....cant get sound from TV source....

Ok, just bought my first ever AV receiver today, and based on the reviews went for the Onkyo 609.

I have spent the past 2 hours trying to get the TV source to work and I am getting pretty pissed...

I have a simple setup, but clearly I am too stupid to figure it out.

TV <--HDMI--> AV Receiver <--HDMI--> HTPC

Firstly my HTPC works perfectly through the AVR, looks and sounds great.

As I have Freesat HD built into my TV I am happy using it, and want to get sound from my TV to the AV Receiver (and watch the TV).

I have the HDMI plugged into the HDMI 2 (ARC) port on my TV, and the HDMI Out port on the AVR.

I was lead to believe in the store that this setup would work as long as I was using a 1.4 HDMI cable (which I am).

When I select TV/CD on the AVR it just goes to a blue screen with no picture.

Any ideas? Cause I am lost....

Sounds like you have not set the amp up.

I've been through the manual from cover to cover but unfortunately it doesn't deal with this issue. I've also contacted Onkyo but had no reply. I was just hoping that someone might have found a solution?
