Hi All

I was going to buy the new Sony 4500 but after reading the other thread and the lack of Sony's response/attitude to problems i am going to buy a Panasonic. I am after a smaller TV for the kitchen aswell 19"/22" max

I popped into my local dealer and they have the following on, let me know if it is any good or not!!

Panasonic TH-50PZ81B (the one with freesat) with 5 year warranty.. (panasonic) £1599

Panasonic Stand for TV (free - well included)

£150 off a TX-19LXD8 (19" LCD) - this is selling for £329 so i would get it for £180.

Total cost £1,780

I did think about getting the 85B but it only goes to 46" and they was selling that at £1399.

Let me know as i want to splash out tommorrow.

Lunar!!!

Paid £1359 at John Lewis for mine, but I think theyve gone up now. Try EmpireDirect

grdunn123:Is the PZ80 exactly the same as the '81 with the exception of Freesat??No, the Z81 does have a extra bells and whistles but the PQ is the same (same panel, contrast, response times, shades of grey, black level...) .

The Z81 has IFC, Picture in picture, plays video from the SD card, optical audio out.... The pansonic web site will do a full comparison.

I was told by a Panasonic rep that the Z81 also had an advanced chip... That, that's used in their Z800 range of TV's. Whether thats true or not is another matter... :)
