Hi,

I have had my Pana for a while now but the other day used the drop down menu & the highest res it said on there was 1080i not 1080p? My Amp is an Onkyo 875 & is all set to HDMI & sure it actually plays 1080p on blu ray. At work at the moment so will double test later but wondered if anyone had any ideas. My friends BD35 although set up to an old Yamaha amp states 1080p in the drop down menu..??

Thanks,

I have just cheked my BD35...

In the hdmi settings you should have 1080p but only select this if you TV supports this.

If you are using component then that will be limited to 1080i so maybe that is where you were looking?

Yes, it all depends on the resolution of your screen. My TV is a HD Ready set and I personally have my blu-ray player set at 1080i, which in my opinion gives the best picture on my screen.

Some prefer 720p or even the 'auto' mode. If you have a Full HD TV, then it will pick-up 1080p.
