Connecting my BD-80 via 5.1 analogue output, to my Denon amps analogue inputs (my amp doesn't process HD audio). Sound options in BD-80 menus give choice of Bitstream or PCM. Which do i choose ? I've read on forums that Lossless PCM is what i should be using but that's not an option i have, or is PCM on the BD-80 the same thing ? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Not sure it matters if you're using analogue outs. Check the manual - it's a wee bit convoluted (well, it was for my BD55), but you'll get there in the end.

EDIT: Here's an online version of the bit that you need to do...

Default setting is '2ch (downmix) + 5.1ch', serving the stereo and multichannel analogue outs. You don't need to make any other settings - the Bitstream/PCM selection is irrelevant when using the onboard decoder and analogue outs.

Thanks Andrew.

Avatar for me this weekend - oops, that belongs to a different thread on here doesn't it.

You have my sympathy - try to find a bit of time to do something enjoyable, too, if you can...

There is a setup menu for adjusting the balance of the analogue outs. Unfortunately is doesn't produce a test tone for the sub. You have to fiddle about a bit to get the best results.
