It says you found it a little dull out of the box in the mag, would it be possible if you could let me know what you tweaked and found best please? It's driving me nuts at the moment keep changing it around, thanks. [Y]

Nah it didn't help but thanks.

Anyone else have the 50V20 or 50VT20 and have you changed anything or realised anything?

Thanks

Is not that i am not happy it's just i a remember a picture from the first time i had it and i can't seem to get back to that, i am not sure the person who done that for me knows exactly what he changed either.

I don't like the THX mode it looks awful to me.

At present i have it on normal or dynamic, and having been changing it from there, i just read not to have sharpness on full because it won't work then so i have just turned that done from full to 3quarters.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks

dynamic wouldnt be my choice gel , far too bright . have you considered a professional calibration ? that tv deserves it imo ..

Gel, if you search around a little on the net one of the more prominent reviews of the V20 has some simple adjustments to the THX profile that will improve the results and get you even closer to the D65 standard.

I think that is as close as I can get it...

If he doesn't like THX mode he'll hate it when it's calibrated.

He likes the Dynamic mode, sounds to me like someone wants an LCD picture from a plasma.

I'm puzzled - we clearly mention about starting with THX mode and then tweaking from there (which is what other have suggested here and elsewhere, too), with particular focus on the colour balance - THX Optimizer can help with that.

Okay i was starting to fiddle too much i think and i have now gone back to factory settings on all channels and i a pretty happy at the moment in fact the most happy i have been for a while. So i think i am going to keep with this for a while and see how i go.

I might have a look at that THX mode at a later date though thanks

Yep i think i started looking for something else, but i have now gone back to factory settings and blacks look really good, and when birght colours appear they are really nice now.

I have had quite a few problems with the mains socket as well which i don't think has helped i had to have it completely changed the other day which could have been affecting the ways i was seeing it too.
