Panasonic 50px70, 24fps yes or no?

Can anybody please let me know if my panasonic 50px70 is able to display 24fps. I read in what hi-fi mag it could, but when trying to set it on my bd30 blu-ray player it wouldn't let me, is there something to adjust on the t.v.?

Also, which is better, optical or 5.1 audio outs from bd30 to denon 1906 amp?

Assuming 5.1 audio outs is the analogue outs on the back, this is better as it'll let you get HD sound for some Blu-Ray discs i.e. the ones that don't have the Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio soundtracks. These ones will still be Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1 (i.e. same as you would get for every disc using optical). Others, especially the ones with native PCM soundtracks will sound much better than with optical.

I don't understand completely the first part of your question. I've no idea whether it does or not, but what does "it wouldn't let me" mean? Did you try it and got a picture that juddered?

thanks for the info, what I meant was, when I went into the settings on the bd30, it gives option to turn 24fps on or off and it won't allow me to change to on.
