Sorry, first post was blank. Has anyone experienced any picture noise around the outside edge of picture using the THX preset. I see it on certain freesat channels, mainly non hd ones.

Yes, you will get this on some SD channels, and even some HD ones (i.e. BBC 1 HD showing News at Six on some parts of the broadcasts).

To get rid of this, you go into the pictures mode, Advance Settings, and set Overscan to ON. The downside is that on HD channels and Blu-ray you miss a bit of the picture - play with it ON & OFF and you will see what I mean.

I started with it left ON and switched it off when watching Blu-rays, but now I just leave it OFF and put up with the occasional screen noise/flicker around the edge of the screen.

yes I found this in the settings mate, thanks for the reply. Absolutely loving the GT30, best tv i have owned.
