Panasonic 42-pz85

I was told today that i wouldnt see much difference in picture quality between a pz85 and the tv i have now px60 giving that pz85 is full hd is this true ? and that i would need a 50inch tv to see the difference, it was Practical hifi in WARRINGTON that told me this but then found out they dont sell panas !

I think you can file that under "Typical Bull" from a non dealer,. I have a PX60 too. At the distance I sit to it (way too close!) I can notice a difference between the Full HD on the 85 and the HD Ready on the 60 if using a 1080p high definition source. If you sit the recommended viewing distance from a 42" I don't think there's particularly much to pick between full HD and HD ready, but you may well have better sight than me.

The picture on your TV is only as good as what source is going into it, and as a great deal of what I and most people watch is still standard definition, I don't think Full HD makes much difference. As always though, it's down to taste etc...

But yeah, the dealer may well also be just trying to steer you away from what they don't have.

In your opinion am i better upgrading my surruond first i was going to get Onkyo 606/ kef 3005 or se,s or mission e30 av but cant make my mind up , btw is the extra £400 for 3005se,s worth it compared with 3005,s ?
