Had this TV since August. As with all plasmas there was some buzzing when new but now seems noticeably louder. Dixons engineer today initially said the level of buzzing was normal. However when switching on the Wii and changing channel to component there is a very loud buzzing. He has agreed they will return next week to take the TV away to investigate.

What level of buzzing is considered normal and how do I determeine this if Dixons ultimately say it's normal?

Also worried that if they start messing about with it, some other problem may be caused which will probably come to light once it's outside it's warranty.

Any suggestions or advice?

all i can here from mine is the low hum of the fans when the room is quiet & the sound turned down. Could there be any interference causing the buzz? Have you tried unplugging all of your other items & just try the tv? are the tv wires in good condition like the mains? plugged in to get good connection or damaged any wires any way?

Just suggestions to try & find a reason.....

I would recommend ringing Panasonic UK on 0844 844 3852 and tell them the problem, as long as it's in the Manufacturers 12 month warranty, Panasonic will help you out, they will tell you who your local Panasonic authorized service centre is and from there you can get a engineer out who will tell if it's faulty or not and also if the level of buzzing is normal or not, atleast that way you have assurance that a Panasonic service engineer has observed the tv. If found faulty, then Panasonic UK will sort it out for you.

I think thats the best thing to do.

Many thanks, I'll give them a call.

I've had Panasonic plasmas for the past 4/5 years (this is my 3rd) and never had any problems before. I still have a 50PX600 which doesn't buzz/ring. Checked all the obvious things like connections and possible interference from anything else.

If you do ring them, make sure its between Monday to Friday as Panasonic UK do not work over the weekends.

It's the tv that is buzzing, no interference or connection problems, usually to do with the fans but the buzzing varies but dont worry, Panasonic will get to the bottom of it for you.
