pairing speakers with Denon pma 35011

Hi, In the process of a cheap hifi build and at the moment am running a Denon pma 35011 through a couple of Akai srh40 speakers 8 ohms,40 watts rpi, max power input 50 watts measuring 10"x 10x 20". I also run a second pair of 6 ohms speakers as supporting speakers. The sound from the Akais is very good within all respects - deep base and nice treble range. My problem is that within a room measuring 12x12ft (with wooden flooring), the speakers are upon stands and the missus would like much smaller speakers (approximately 8x12 or so). What will be able to substitute the Akais on a budget? Don't tell me trade in the missus! Cheers.

Try demoing Dali Zensor 1. I Think it will fit your budget and sound excellent.

Thanks. Looked these up on ebay "Dali Zensor 1"- I need a less costly alternative, eg slightly dated (and perhaps slightly bigger than stated) but effective and coming in at £50 or so.....any more takers appreciated
