i have this model for 5 weeks and i am very pleased but i am finding that in the viewing mode (cinema)settings contrast, brightness,ect that the settings are not being saved automatically in the different input modes. if i alter say contrast in av1 mode it alters in all the input modes in (cinema). also in the power on preference i have set to av1 in all inputs modes but tv tuner mode powers up. are these faults or is it me.

You cannot save different settings (Cinema, ECO...) for each input mode.

If power on preference is set to Av and the TV powers on in "tuner" mode, then maybe your AV source is powered off? Is it connected to HDMI1?

i have been trying to save different settings in cinema in each input mode must or misunderstood manual. in power on preference i have my virgin cable reciever in av and my dvd recoder in hmdi1 with cable reciever conected by a second scart could this be the problem.

Hi guys, forgive me if you already know this but have a look at this site http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Panasonic-TH42PX80/Settings I am sure it states somewhere in the review that the settings are only saved if the set goes into full standby on its own. Hope this helps.
