I have had my Panasonic TX 28-PS1 CRT for a number of years now, recomended of course by WHF, I am outraged to find out its only 27" diagonally? Where has my 28th inch gone? Have i got the runt of the litter? Ok not many men would complain for only having 28",,, what gives??

All TVs shrink over time, usually at the rate of about 1in per five years, or about 0.5cm a year. It's perfectly natural, and nothing to worry about.

I bought a 21in Sony with one of my first pay cheques after leaving university, and by the time I sold it it was a 14in portable.

(Could also be something to do with the fact that the visible image on CRTs is always smaller than the actual tube.)

Im just amazed i never new that before,, it was when i saw people on Ebay say there TV was 27", i thought muppets, you don't get 27", guess im the muppet,, although this could still be the biggest outrage since the Never Ending Story!!
