Oppo 103,connecting speakers,help!

I already have the oppo103 and the Yamaha ysp2200 soundbar and my room dimensions are 5x5m with 3 stone walls so to be honest the soundbar does sound pretty good already.

but I'm clueless when it comes to speakers ,I don't have any plans to get 5.1 system but can I attach speakers to my oppo ,I was just mucking about and I came across active speakers with built in amps ,could I buy say 2 or 4 of these and attach them to my oppo giving me more surround sound.

Yes, you could connect the Oppo to active speakers using the Audio Out section on the back. The Oppo can be used to control the volume.

That's what I might do too, I've not heard of anybody else doing it so would be very interested hearing about it if you do.
